Do you have "Universal TUN/TAP device driver support" (CONFIG_TUN) enabled in your kernel configuration? It should be a network device in your kernel configuration: Device Drivers --> Networking support --> Network device support --> <*> Universal TUN/TAP device driver support You can

Hi all, I've been away from my gentoo box for a month and now after massive system upgrade usb adsl modem startup script complains about missing /dev/net/tun device. I can start it manually later so it seems to be a dependency issue probably related to recent udev upgrade. Suggestions appreciated.
