for the proprietary drivers was dropped way back (those
were the extra drivers that got you higher framerates and better quality
images, etc) and yes, the support was yanked from the kernel but said
support has been returned, which made me happy because, as I noted, I
too have one of these cameras.

o if I'm
missing something with docbook in the future, then it'll get corrected
as needed.
I sat on this issue for a while, too. I don't like to go in and do
sizable sandblasting like this if I don't have to but when it comes to
slotted packages like parts of docbook, sometime
stall like the one for amd64 unless they've got something better now
adays.
That's my $0.02. Anyone else have additions/corrections? :-)

shouldn't -mmmx be -mmx or have I been looking at too many switches and

the CFLAGS or else you won't end up really using EM64T. Nocona is 64bit
and if you want 64bit you just call your prescott a nocona and voila -
for the most part.

I'm sure this has been tackled before elsewhere but after my upgrade to
Gnome 2.16 I lost the ability to use the CTRL+ALT+F1 (F2, F3, ...)
sequence to switch out of X so I can flip to other VTs. Ideas?
Also, while I'm at it, since the upgrade, I've been having problems with

I am going to try to boot a LiveCD and see if any of that helps. That
