Hi all,
I have an issue with a remote server that keeps losing access to the
network. I've managed to replicate the issue by pulling a large file from
the server at full speed (100mbit). It will cut out during the file copy
and the log will show the following:
Oct 17 17:47:26 eric kernel: WARNING

Hi all
I'm looking for some help setting up traffic shaping on my internet
connection. I have a bit of an odd setup in that I run a remote VPN server
that all of my traffic is pushed through and out on to the internet. As I
understand generally it isn't possible to shape incoming traffic but as I

Hi all,
I'm in the process of setting up samba4 to trial the domain setup but I'm
having problems getting bind to start with dlz turned on.
I've pasted the output from syslog as bind is started. It seems to be
looking for libsamdb-common.so which is located in /usr/lib/samba but it
doesnt seem to

Hi all,
I've got an LVM setup at the minute that consists of 3x1TB and 3x1.5TB
drives. Its setup with one huge XFS partition with all my data on. I don't
have a backup of any kind and I know thats pretty silly but with the cost
of replicating the whole lot being what it is and the lack of space in
Hi all,
I'm having a few problems with my graphics on my gentoo laptop. The laptop
is a Sony VPC-Z13 with hybrid graphics but I have it forced to purely use
the intel card. When I boot into GDM I have around a 5 second delay where
the screen exhibits odd corruption but once loaded all seems fine. I

Hi all,
I've been having a few problems with my gentoo install mainly on boot where
my screen will be blank when starting X. X is definitely working in the
background because I can login blind and hear the login sound. To get it to
work I have to continually switch between ttys until it decides to

Hi all,
I've been having a few problems with a week old gentoo desktop install with
gnome 3 from the gnome overlay. Both libgnomeprint-2.18.8 and
evolution-3.0.3 are failing showing the errors below which I think are
related to pango.
