It disables pango library usage, there's a known bug about it that makes
firefox scrolling and stuff very slow. Google for it and you'll find lots of
reports about it.

Try using this:
$ MOZ_DISABLE_PANGO=1
k up http://www.gentoo.org
and the lists page (it's there, easy to find).
So there's plenty of ways to get the info you need without bothering the
lists itself (including your friendly [EMAIL PROTECTED])
