[gentoo-user] How to use a slotted library

Hi, I have 3 versions of x11-libs/gtk+ in slots 1, 2 and 3. Some applications cannot be compiled with gtk+:3 . Is there a way to temporarily switch to gtk+:2 (which probably needs to switch related packages like atk and pango, as well) ? Many thanks for a hint, Helmut.

Hello! I just installed a Gentoo box and i am having a bizarre problem (bizarre for me at least), i'd like to point that the only solution i have found so far (attempt to modify some eclass) is way beyond the limit of complexness that i am used to so if there is another way i would really apprecia

Hello! I am looking for a Tool to check PDF files against the PDF/X-3:2002 standard that some printing vendors seem to request in case of providing vector sources. The tool needs to 1) be free software as defined by the FSF [1], and 2) work on Linux. Has anyone seen such a thing? Thanks i
