My usual update world rebuilt gcc and then tried to reinstall pcmcia-cs. The later failed and googling showed that I should use instead pcmciautils. Merging pcmciautils required merging dev-util/yacc. I don't know why it wouldn't accept bison. dev-util/yacc failed to build due to a file collision

Hi all, I've done some updates around Jan 4 - 8 which has borken evolution - it segfaults when retrieving imap mail. I had a look at the trace and started recompiling (note - same versions) some random libs (libbonobo, dbus-glib, gtkhtml, etc.) and then I couldn't log in or start firefox. hm.
