I am getting perplexed why WYSINWYG: I was trying to login to an ftp server from the CLI. Typing in the passwd failed every time. I then set it up as a network connection in Konqueror and I had no problem at all connecting using the same passwd. However, I noticed that some additional charac

I've re-emerge vmware-modules, re-run ...vmware-config.pl, and prayed. I still cannot do /etc/init.d/vmware start because this one part fails: Virutal machine Monitor and trying "vmware&" says I need to run the config script (again). I'm getting nowhere and I really do want to run that VM again

It seems that the pipes across the Atlantic are getting congested tonight and when I try to connect to a server the connection times out. When I try to connect using nc, which does not time out as fast, I get a port open response. Is there a way of extending the ssh client TTL so that it waits
