definitively what the access rights given to a podling's git repo are, if
they request one (instead of a svn directory)?
If nothing else we should document it somewhere on the incubator site
indicating the permission sets for

Inviting those people to become members is a good idea (and in fact was agreed
a long time ago when we brought the first non-members into the IPMC). I think
we have a number of members now who started out as IPMC members. It is clear
(at least to me) that anyone who proves themselves to be a goo

Hi John,
This seems like a good month for me to take a turn as Report Manager.

January 2015 Incubator report timeline:
http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/January2015
Wed January 07 -- Podling reports due by end of day
Sun January 11 -- Shepherd reviews due by end of day
Sun January 11 -- Summary due by end of day
Tue January 13 -- Mentor signoff due by end
Every PMC member of a running PMC has a responsibility to keep an eye
out for crazy commits. Once this is reflected in the doc, it's good
practice for PPMC members.

Hi!
when a honor of the IPMC chair was bestowed on
me beginning of 2014 it was crucial that the
position remains to be rotated among IPMC members.
As an aside: while Marvin felt that the ideal rotation period

I've added a section to the report tracking
lack of mentor sign-off on a per mentor basis.
The idea is simple: and is similar to how we
track missing reports themselves: all the empty
sign-offs are added to this section and then
promoted to the n
