there's a difference. you won't be able to tell, looking at the
archive, which packages are alive and

However if I had to suggest what one would put in a morgue, I would suggest
dead people. They don't tend to fight too much and generally find the
accommodations acceptable.

Andy,
What are we planning to put in the morgue ?

What about "morgue".
The things may be dead, but the living still want to poke them about a bit
before they are finally buried.. or perhaps brought back to life again in
the "return-of-the-living-dead.apache.org" project.

It fits in with the graveyard theme, but is also a newspaper
term for the old story archives. Look at one of the old
movies set in a newsroom and you will hear the term.
It's where they go to do research on old stories.
Just a suggestion.

IMO graveyard is the most descriptive term I have seen so far which
explains what the project is and does not sacrifice on style ;-)

Just out of curiousity, why did you raise this on Incubator?
As it's the opposite of incubation.

We have archive.apache.org, I don't see the need to create a new vhost.

The infrastructure team is already preparing archive.apache.org for this
purpose. As you know, all
-1 hibernation...to confusing with hibernate (the persistence tool).
Other than that it doesn't matter. My personal preference is
deadprojects.apache.org...but I have this weird love of descriptive/clear
names.

Since the incubator accepts new projects, it seems obvious for me to
propose here the opposite. That means possibly taking the responsibility
of also moving the dead proje
