No. I don't think they would be any more than the PMC for Hive can vote for
a release of OpenOffice.
Hi everyone,
Please verify and vote on the first release candidate for the Hyracks
components of Apache AsterixDB . This is our first incubating release
so feedback would be much appreciated.
The vote to release on the development list passed:
https://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/incubator-a
The vote for Calcite to become a top-level project has passed with 14 binding
and 8 non-binding +1 votes and no 0 or -1 votes.
We will now prepare a resolution for the next Board meeting.
Thank you for all the kind remarks during the vote and over the last few weeks.
14 binding:
* Alan Gates

This is all speculation..
I would imagine they'd need to be voted into the PMC. Maybe more votes
from the IPMC could coax some binding votes from the PMC
Does anyone feel member votes are binding without PMC membership? I don't
recall seeing it but would be happy to be wrong here.

Would other Apache members votes be binding or would them need to be voted into
the PMC?

The vote for accepting Rya into the incubator passes with 5 binding +1s and
4 non-binding +1s. I will work with the mentors to start the ball rolling.
Binding +1:
Rob Vesse
Andy Seaborne
Chris Nauroth
Sean Busbey
Venkatesh Seetharam
Nonbinding +1:
Atri Sharma
Josh Elser
Adina Crainiceanu
Phillip
Ok... read a little more.
OCW is no longer a podling under incubation. It has its own PMC. The
IPMC's votes are not binding on the release, I would think.

- Sigs okay
- Digest matches archive
- license and notice in order
There are a few missing license headers, but other than that, it seems
okay. See http://compliance.rocks/result.html?d704977 for more details
about the headers.
With regards,
Daniel.

Anyway I can help?
I am not an IPMC member but willing to support this release.

Hi general@i.a.o,
The Apache Open Climate Workbench (OCW) [0] 1.0.0 release candidate is
struggling for attention. This is a major release and it really does
deserve attention.
We require binding and authoritative VOTE(s), we already have 2, however
this is not enough to release the code.

Thanks Atri, any help you can give: advice, testing or just responding to
questions as you have the expertise will be gratefully received.
