I am reopening this bug based on that I have retested and recompiled using
gcc-trunk which leads to trying to reduce to the exact optimization flag which
was causing this problem. As you can see the gdb output above is inva

Looks like I may have made a mistake in compiling a library which was causing
this issue, will report back later.
