I see this in 4.1.2 but this has been fixed already in 4.2.0.

John,
This works for me with both a 4.2 and 4.3 (aka trunk, bleeding edge)
compilers. I think you'll find a much more pleasant gfortran
experience if you upgrade from 4.1.1..
