I managed to duplicate the bug in a simpler environment. OpenSuse 11.0 32-bit
i686, gcc configured with
../gcc-4.3.1/configure --prefix=/home/bitti/gcc-4.3.1
--enable-languages=c,c++,java,ada,fortran
I attached the resulting c
