If he's smart, he did use a proxie. And if the web developer's smart,
he'll implement something that checks the IP addresses of people
visiting his website against a list of currently known proxie
servers. I'd recommend dnsbl.org or something along those lines. That

Actually, the original Enterprise's computer voice was a lot more
robotic than the series that came after. But then, everything about
that ship is different from the series that came after that one. A
sign of Trek's having advanced considerably since then, perhaps?
Also, DS9's computer voice wa
I've never even heard of that text game, or I'd be glad to help if I
could. What's it about?

It's very accessible (they even have a text-based starmap), but
there's a learning curve, and you will have to work harder to catch
up to those who've been there longer.

It's a downloadable game that can be played online. I have the
customization information for JFW if anyone would like to contact me
off-list. One of these days I'll stick things like this up on a
website. But, until then... off-list it is. :-)

I have spoken directly with Tom on the matter, and he says for now

How would a play by email Anacreon game work, though? I think I

All,
I've posted a link on my site that'll take you to one of perhaps the
best MUD resources on the net, for those curious about that
particular genre of text-based game. That link, and a few others some
may find of interest, have been posted to

Windows XP has a DOS option. o to start, run, and type in cmd.exe
rather than the usual command.com. That'll bring up a DOS window
similar to what you'd find with Windows 95 and the such, with all the
oddly programmed commands contained therein.
