Hi Michael,
Yes, it is strongly recommended that all data be processed with the same
version of FreeSurfer.
Also, the 'base' and 'long' steps of the longitudinal processing should be
re-run after adding a new timepoint.

I think the area of a vertex is the average area of the triangles it is
attached to. It isn’t a point measure so it is a bit hard to interpret on an
individual basis, particularly since the individual triangle areas reflect the
white/pial surface deformation dynamics. Probably makes mor
your command line looks right. Try using the .lta file created by
bbregister instead of the .dat file

Usually people are not putting their subjects in the FS subjects folder,
so I'm wondering if your SUBJECTS_DIR is set correctly.
I'm not sure what is going wrong here. How did you create the pvf files?
Are they in the same space as your SANDI file (they should be)? You also
might try using the bbr .lta file instead of the .dat file. I don't
think the "No such file or directory" means anything here (it looks
