The mri_synthsr script in the 7.4.1 release from June 2023 offers 3
models - one version 1.0 model and two version 2.0 models (depending upon the
arguments). The default in the absence of any qualifying arguments is the

I don’t think this is the case since you can load 1 surface without problem.
What if you load one surface from the command-line, then load the other one
from the GUI?
