Today it was released the version 4.0.0 of iSurf Brainview, it's a
majorversion release for IPad, IPhone and IPod Touch. It's also a
landmark
release.
Major New Features
- 3D Visualization of Cortical structure
- 3D Model is fully "touchable" and displays the name of touched structure
using aparc.
I just took a look at it, and I think it's still running. How long has it
been? There looks like there is a very large topological defect, that will
take a long time to correct. The correction has complexity that is
quadratic in the convex hull of the largest defect, so large ones can take

Dear Experts,
I ran the wm.mgz corrections and pial corrections using the command:
-autorecon2 –autorecon3 –subjid sub2
However, Freesurfer exited the program with the following message:
SUBJECTS_DIR/Users/subdir
FREESURFER_HOME Applications/freesurfer
Loading source label.
No such file or
Does /Users/subdir/ fsaverage exist? Also, it looks like there could be
a space between "subdir/" and "fsaverage"

Hi Douglas,
Thank you for your reply. The subdir is just an example, so that is probably a
typo in the original post. Fsaverage/ did not exist in SUBJECTS_DIR when we ran
the recon commands, so in response to the error, I copied fsaverage/ from the
freesurfer directory to my SUBJECTS_DIR. I gue
It does need to be there, but usually it creates it's own symbolic link
(so you should not need to copy it).

Then does it mean that I can ignore this error message?

No, it means that it cannot find that file.

Hi all,
I am trying to find the volumes of lesions present in the white matter.
Would 'WM-hypointensities' in aseg.stats give me this value? (A similar
label is also found in wmparc.stats, but the values are not the same)
Also, does the tot-cerebral-white-matter volume include the
WM-hypointensit
Yes, use the WM-hypointensities value from aseg.stats (differences with
wmparc.stats are due to differences in partial volume correction).
tot-cerebral-white-matter includes the hypointensities

You're absolutely right. The lh.BA1.label file is missing within
freesurfer/fsaverage. I thought that we may have had the same issue as this
poster
(http://www.mail-archive.com/freesurfer@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/msg19399.html)
since we use a mount, but it seems that the missing BA labels is the rea
