Dear FreeSurfer experts,
I did contact you before regarding the problem below ( Talairach Failure
Detection ) and one suggestion was to use lower resolution MPRAGE rather than
using .5mm one. ( Our MPRAGEs were acquired at 7T scanner with 0.5mm isotropic
resolution). I acquired a new MPRAGE at
Hi Ali,
do you want to send us a sample of the data. It's very hard to get
anything like uniform contrast over the whole brain at 7T due to
dielectric effects. We rarely use the 7T for this kind of thing as in our
experience the 3T is better (in contrast to say T2* weighting, which is
beautif
Dear all,
It looks like I have found a workaround for the problem that I encountered when
calculating the local gyrification index. I am not sure how common my problem
is, but as the solution might interest some other people aswell I decided to
post it here.
The problem was that in my case Mat
do you have gzip installed on your system? It's pretty universal these
days.

Hey everyone,
I have finished anatomical segmentations on a batch of brains, however this
was done in Freesurfer 4.0.4 and I realized several of my subjects have
issues previously described here:

Hi Rysia, I've been re-thinking the issue of demeaning variables
(continuous covariates). First, demeaning has no effect on the value or
significance of the slope of the variable, it only has an effect on the
offset/intercept value and significance. When you have a continuous
covariate in the m
Hi,
I am trying to analyze my fMRI data ( collected at MGH) using FSFAST and
I was following the tutrial
(http://surfer.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/fswiki/FsFastWorkFlows).
I was able to unpack the data. But when I run "preproc-sess -s
-fwhm 2", it fails at 3dvolreg. Here is the log file

Hi everyone,
I have a quick question but an important one. We are working on a 5
year study involving well over 1000 scans. Processing of these patients
is primarily done using a cluster machine loaded with freesurfer version
