See if you have the following directory with the plugins libraries,
$ ls /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/platforms
There should be a libqxcb.so listed in that directory if you have them.
Also try setting the following in your environment
$ export

Have you found any solution? Is it possible to bring my computer to you as
a way to solve the problem under your supervision?
Thanks a lot.

It looks like freeview is in: jcrn12@jcrn12-VirtualBox:~$

But when I try to use it, I can not do it, because: jcrn12@jcrn12-VirtualBox:~$

Sorry - from your previous mail, I mistakenly thought “which freeview” returned
/usr/local/bin/freeview.
If you can reproduce what you did before to run freeview from the command line
where it tells you that it was not finding libgfortran, then “which

Hi Sarah,
Drawing an ROI on a surface is a little bit complicated. You will need
to have a surface and volume loaded first. Then you create or load a ROI
as a volume ROI. On the control panel, there should be a "Map to
surface" option, you can map the ROI to the loaded surface. Then you

Great! Thank you so much, Andrew.
I downloaded the updated Freeview. I am still wondering how to draw an ROI
on the surface in Freeview. I don't have the options.
Could you please let me know what command you are running to get the
Freeview?
I am having the updated version Jan 2018.
Thanks,
Sara

Hi Rujing,
Your hardware setup does sound a bit insufficient to run freeview smoothly. But
I don't think that is the reason "configure overlay" hangs. Would it be
possible to send us the files used in your command?
Best,
Ruopeng

Hi Bruce and others,
Thanks Bruce. I had installed the centos6.5 x86_64 in my computer, and
setup the freesurfer-Linux-centos6_x86_64-stable-pub-v5.3.0.tar.gz,
and I setup the nvidia drivers completely. Then I tried to run this
command:
freeview -f
