I have longitudinal data of three patients with atrophy in the caudate
nuclues. When I produce a figure from time point 1 and one figure from time
point 2 in order to visualize the atrophy, the figures look different due
the different orientations of the two images
Yes, tkmedit shows the image volume in native space. What you are
seeing regarding the corresponding talairach coordinates is consistent
with that.

When I move horizontally over the coronally presented image, the
y-coordinate only change in the range of 1-2 mm. When I move vertically the
y-coordinate change from 28 at the top to 8 at the bottom.
