Hi Doug,
Our hypothesis is that cortical thickness will be lower in patients than in
volunteers, once controlled for gender, age, education, etc. I may remove
MMSE as diagnosis of the patient is in part based on the MMSE scores. In
that case, I would have 12 regressors, in the order you listed m
Hi John
Doug can say for sure, but I think you want to give it the switch
--sval-xyz so it knows to expect a surface not a scalar field over the
surface.

Thanks guys.

you can try downloading and installing this:
http://surfer.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/pub/dist/freesurfer/5.1.0/freesurfer-Darwin-tiger-ppc-stable-pub-v5.1.0.tar.gz
to install, cp this file to /Applications, then type:
sudo tar zxvf freesurfer-Darwin-tiger-ppc-stable-pub-v5.1.0.tar.gz

Dear All:
I would like to know if to check my DTI's data registration on the anatomical
data having the registration encoded in the registration.dat by tkmedit as
below:
tkregister2 --mov /media/1Tra/Antonella_2011/DTI_FS/dtrecon/C51_dti.nii.gz --s

Hi All,
I apologize if this is a simple fix, I am very very new to freesurfer. I
am trying to combine the ?h.aparc.stats of a number of subjects into a
table file that I can load into excel.
I have run the following:
"aparcstats2table --hemi lh --subjects 01_bay6 02_bay6 --meas thickness

Following up on Ashley's post from 06 Jun 2011 (see below), I also find certain
commands (see below) are not installed with the current (v5.1) PPC OS X Tiger
distribution. I had to go back to v4.3 to get a complete set of commands.

Another basic question:
Could you tell me what is the best way of putting the
?h.entorhinal_exvivo.stats into a spreadsheet for all subjects? Is there a way
to achieve a textfile output for all subjects similar in concept to

Dear Lilla,
Thank you very much for your directions. Sorry I have so many questions but I
am new to this type of research.
I will appreciated a lot if you confirm my understanding regarding some outputs
from dtrecon:

Hi Catherine
I guess I would recommend the ex vivo one since it is based explicitly on
architecontics and not on guessing locations from folds.

Hello experts,
I am very new to freesurfer so please excuse my basic question:
We want to get measurements of entorhinal cortex volumes on a group of people.
I found these results listed in ?h.aparc.stats.
I also noticed another ?h.entorhinal_exvivo.stats, with different results.

Hi Paula,
Tracula uses anatomical labels/files from freesurfer cortical
reconstruction to build the posterior distribution of the tracts. It looks
like you may not have run freesurfer recon for your subject.
To run freesurfer recon for your subject please refer to the following page:

Dear Freesurfer specialists,
we are currently working on a comparison paper between manual segmentations and
freesurfer segmentations of the hippocampus. In the paper by Jovicich and
colleagues (2009) they mention that they generated their own segmentation atlas
