Is vol2surf crashing? If not, then don't worry about the message as it
does not use the direction cosines to map to the surface.

It's probably the case that the surface did not intersect your volume,
which probably means that the registration is wrong. Did you visually
inspect the registration with tkregister2?

tutorial manual the results of this command are supposed to be f, fsig, t,
