There is one fundamental problem for booting any DOS: it has to boot
either from A: or C:, this last beind an active primary partition
That is to say that if your pndrive is like an HD, you will need to make
it look like a primary active partition on the first HD.
There is a command that I used
Linux Mint is on the hard disk, no problem with it
and there is a frugal Puppy installation.
Damn Small Linux and Puppy (again) are on my stick.
The puppy installation was simply copied from the hard disk
and the menu.lst file in GRUB modified.
Please tell me what boot file to indicate in Dam

I tried to install Freedos on a 2 GB Jetflash on which the MBR
was already messed up. When installing, the system files and folders
were copied OK on the Jetflash but then it failed to boot up. GRUB gave
strange error messages. Finally I inst
If you have your system booting with freedos (whether from floppy or
usb stick, doesn't matter) you can use the sys command to transfer the
freedos os to the hd, then you should be able to reboot into the hd
after removing the usb stick.
If you have a working boot of freedos, all you need to

I have a licensed windows from uni which I need to install on my
cdrom-less laptop. So, I created a usb stick with freedos, booted it up
and I start as c:, where the main drive is d:. Then I copy windows
install dir from the usb stick (which is inside a dir along with the
