This may mean that JEMMEX has doubts about whether that area
is suitable for use as UMB area.

1. Distro 1.0 is obsolete, many things got fixed since.
2. Just install manually: copy KERNEL.SYS FREECOM.COM SYS.COM and apply SYS
3. Install what you need but make sure to get possible later and
better versions than from 1.0 distro.

Hi,
I prepared a boot floppy and a CD-ROM [*] and tried to install
FreeDOS as a single operating system on a 80486 PC (IDE Drive,
one FAT partition). Booting from floppy works and the CD drive
is accepted as drive X:
