That's my point. I also have an earlier model where the BIOS is NOT
willing. So... no external USB drives.

Let me first state that everything I'm about to say may depend upon
which model of Acer Aspire One you have. They had different models and
even the hardware within one model varied over the years they were
produced... so... your mileage may vary.
