The proper FreeDOS CD is a full bootable one. Moreover, I have installed
the FreeDOS in a computer booting from the CD.

Hello, Guillermo. Of course, if you want to connect to the Internet,
apart from the ethernet card driver, you need a TCP/IP stack.
What I dont't know is if any internet suites for DOS (is there any? )
include such a stack, because I have the same problem that you, but I
