Actually, there is such a thing as a DOS NFS client! It's old but it
works. I'm using Tsoft's NFS Client 1.02. It uses the WatTCP TCP/IP
stack. Check this site to download a trial copy:

I'm trying to run TurboC 3.0 on FreeDOS (kernel 1.1.34) and I'm not
having much luck. When I run the TurboC IDE (TC.EXE) it just gives me
back the prompt right away.
I also tried with kernel 1.1.33 and it would either freeze the PC or
reboot. I tried with and without EMM386,
