I have had considerable trouble getting emm386 to work with D845PEBT2
motherboards and other Intel motherboards. A lot of processor dumps.

You could also try SYSLINUX and MEMDISK with a small FreeDOS HD image.
On my computer, the read-only emulated image was C: and the USB disk
itself was D:.
