Try HP's Disk format tool. Although this utility is no longer supported and
taken of the HP website you can still find it on the web.

The MBR isn't installed by SYS, it's installed by FDISK. The source of the
standard MBR is contained in the BOOTNORM directory. (The MBR in the
BOOTEASY directory lets the user select a partition from a small menu.)

Hi All,
Does anybody has, or know where I can find, the assembly source for the MBR
as used by sys. I found several versions on the web but they are all
different. I can extract the Freedos MBR and disassemble it but I suspect it
is listed somewhere on the web and I simply missed it,
