My name is Carlos, i'm from Brazil, i love the project and I'm planing to
make a distro for freedos, targeted for new developers and I would like to

I agree with Imre, because there's such a utility in the DOS base list (VSAFE).

I disagree: I don't believe it belongs on the Base list, because it
doesn't really replicate any MSDOS behavior (the closest is MSAV.)
However, I am open to adding FDSHIELD to the Util list.

I've had lots of success using MS-DOS format and not rebooting.

In Bochs you are correct, as Scandisk gave me no errors anymore.
I hope I did not encounter a strange Vmware problem.
however I did have to test a smaller FAT32 disk - 650MB.
I'll send my logfiles to Eric.

NDD report is a little more comprehensive and here it is
After FORMAT C: I copied a few files and directories to the drive
Crossed checked with Scandisk and NDD
