Hi,
there is a problem with missing XML Parser, shown below.
The reason is that the install of package xfce4-utils-4.8.3_2 does not
pull proper dependency.
$ pkg_add -r xfce4
$ startx
$ cat ~/.startx.log
...
Can't locate XML/Parser.pm in @INC (@INC contains:
/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.12.4/BSDPAN
/u
Hi,
I am wondering if we could change the name to something
less misleading ?
Perhaps "editpad", "filepad", etc.
A request with suggestions to XFCE project could follow as well.

Hi,
on the attached capture of panel with battery indicator,
one can see "display power" (when activated in properties) font(?)
not fitting the indicator frame.
Could you pass this request for a fix to original XFCE maintainer
as well.

Hi,
I removed orage package:
# /usr/sbin/pkg_delete /var/db/pkg/orage-4.8.3/
but menu item Office/Orage Globaltime was left.
Orage Globaltime is part of orage package.
If this is generic XFCE error, pls forward to devs as well.

Thank you very much for your problem report.

I have done some additional testing.
1. I recompiled all installed XFCE ports.
2. I nuked
~/.config/xfce*
~/.cache/sessions/
3. Then I tested as below:
a) $ startx
I did not do anything, just Log Out from XFCE (orginal
/unconfigured desktop).
$ cat .startx.log
xauth: file /home/jb/.server

Hi,
yes, it is.
The menus for Accessories and System contain 4-5 duplicate items.
Of course a user can correct it by editing menus, but that does not change
my opinion that freedesktop.org standard specification ("consensus") is
wrong.
