I am here once again trying to figure out how to enable 802.11n in
HOSTAPD for the Atheros 9280 wireless chip on FreeBSD 11.
Although "ieee80211n" is not recognized by FreeBSD's HOSTAPD, If I am
not mistaken I was told that it would handle 802.11n tx/rx automatically
on supporte

I have also faced the same exact issue last week when setting up two
wireless cards in hostapd and freebsd 11. In the end I decided to run
two instances of hostapd.conf, one per wireless card.
I took hint from this guy here

you don't need to tell hostapd anything special about it for now.
