CD drives don't work

Hello, I have problems with my s-ata cd drive. Neither in AHCI nor in IDE mode I'm able to burn cd's, most times I can't even read a cd. Also booting with a CD inserted takes forever. All I get is: acd0: TIMEOUT - READ_BIG retrying (1 retry left) acd0: TIMEOUT - READ_BIG retrying (0 retries left)

Hello, I wanted to archive something on my external firewire drive and recognized a massive write performance degradation over 7-current from 3 months ago. I could read _and_ write about 30MB/s, reading still gives me a value like that but writing broke down to 1,4 MB/s!!! Also I see some warnings
