mount_ext2fs /dev/ad5 /disktmp

You can use the ext2fs tool to fsck it.
FreeBSD only supports ext2fs, but ext3fs is backwards compatible with
ext2fs. ext3fs just add's the journaling support.
You can use the ext2fs fsck tool from /usr/ports/sysutils/e2fsprogs
