If you don't like using a beta (nothing wrong with that), you definitely
should not be using -stable either. There are even less promises
regarding the reliability and quality of -stable than there are of a
beta. After all, during the prerelease and beta

That is normal, -stable will become prerelease before the next version
is released, it doesn't mean that its not stable. You should consider
migrating to 6, as this will be the last release
