who are looking for vinum to replace hardware RAID drivers in such
environments should be made aware that vinum isn't up to the rock-solid
standard of reliability as the rest of the FreeBSD operating system, and
won't be for a while.
Right up to the point where it wiped out my install

A couple of hard restarts later, and there wasn't anything left to salvage.
I have extensive experience with Veritas Volume Manager under Solaris. In
many ways, I think vinum is an excellent replacement. However, it very much
seems that it is still in the "try to m
