What I don't understand here is, why are these being considered
out-of-date? That seems like it is indicative of a larger problem that

This should be an easy fix. :-) EFI Runtime Services on FreeBSD
("EFIRT") wasn't necessarily globally stable until right around 12.0.
For 11.x, you'll need to `kldload efirt` or add `options EFIRT` to
your kernel
tween FreeBSD 10/11 and 12 in loader-world as our loader
universe got thoroughly rototilled and improved -- many of these
things cannot be attributed to lua, but perhaps are because of the
coincidental timing.

and I apparently had this addressed in my local build testing due to other
bits.
