Hi all, first I would like to say thx to the FreeBSD devel team they
have truly done a great job with 5.4! Now I have all my servers running
ie. dns (what a headache that was), apache (ok after I got dns working),
postgres (the easiest of the bunch), postfix (smooth as always). Most if

I am running 4.11 on a dual amd box and have found it solid as a rock
for running apache2, postgres, dns and postfix. But now I am thinking of
upgrading. I wonder if 5.4 is as stable for these servers that must run
24/7. And is it worth all the trouble to do, I have grown pretty lazy :)

I have been running apache, postfix, postgresql on a 5.3 mashine and the
only problems i have faced was with sshd and time outs and even then most of
the problem was with my named.conf. 5.3 seems to be doing great! much better

server on the same network that got a few viruses and started taking up all
