I have exactly the same problem, the video never wakes up for acpiconf -s 3. My computer is HP nc8430, with 8.2-PRELEASE amd64. My old laptop Dell Inspiron 1100 with FreeBSD5.5 i386 has the same problem. So FreeBSD just can't handle suspend on my laptops :) On Wed, Dec 1, 2010 at 3:49 PM, David DE
