That's not true. devd devinitely deals with hotplugged devices. I

I own a Promise Fasttrak SX4000 and was wondering where the driver is :s
Promise advertises with compatibility of the controller with FreeBSD 4.x
both on the site and in the manual but the driver is NOWHERE to be found..
ive searched far and wide for it and have seen this question over and over
and
Setting it to zero means it's unlimited.
Be careful.

Hello!
I have a problem with Intel(R) PRO/1000 card (Intel 82540) - it does not
initialize properly during boot process.
I've got these error messages in /var/log/messages:

I just took delivery of a Dell PE800 tower server. I installed
5.3-RELEASE amd64 on it, but it is not finding any ethernet device
(there is one built into the mobo).
According to the Dell PE800 spec sheet
(http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/pedge/en/800_specs.pdf)

Hello,
during the last weeks I have some hangup-problems on my FreeBSD-5.3
server. It seems to me that after the following error messages in syslog
the server freezes and doesn't even respond to ping- and
ssh-connection-attempts.
The messages in my /var/log/messages file:

Hi,
The nmbcluster option from the kernel config file is no longer possible in
5.3. Instead the systctl kern.ipc.nmbclusters should be used now in
/boot/loader.conf? Normally i would set this value to 65535 (maximum
value?) in order to make fbsd handle lots and lots of connections.
So i should p

I just got another "netstat: kvm_read: Bad address". vm.kvm_free was
675278848 two seconds earlier and a couple of seconds later (and also
currently).
The output from vm.zone a couple of seconds after:
