I've just installed 4.10-RELEASE onto a Compaq DeskPro/EP and had sysinstall hang in the "probing devices" step. I traced this down to a Kouwell 223NP-4 PCI I/O card (4 serial, 1 parallel port using a NetMos Nm9845CV chip) - when I unplugged the card, the install works perfectly. The system boots
