Any ideas? Netstat seemed to pause for a few seconds, perhaps to try to
resove address names. I had to Ctrl-C to stop the scrolling. Running a
second time worked fine.

I'm trying to upgrade from 3.0-RELEASE to the current -STABLE branch.
I cvsup'ed the stable-supfile from /usr/share/examples/cvsup/ and
started a
> make buildworld
in the /usr/src directory.
The compile fails with the following error:

i run mysql-3.22.32 on freebsd 4.2-stable, apache-1.3.14 and php-4.0.3sp1.
it's
busy web server and sometimes it fails with 'lost connection' error.
the mysql.err log looks like this:

i don't think so. i run isamchk/myisamchk several times...
i did dump, drop & import db back, so indexes should
be ok, but problems didn't go away. i'll try other
hardware with 4.1.1-release... ;o(((

Since reinstalling my SBLive! Value card in my machine, I've encountered a
similar problem, but _only_ with mono audio output, never with stereo. The
card works fine under Win98 and (IIRC) worked reasonably well under Red Hat.
