today ran thru install using entire 2nd HD for bsd 5.0 by foolowing FREE
BSD UNLEASHED 2nd ed. it seemed pretty straight forward. but after
install did not boot into bsd. boot loader options were to come up
after i initially said do nothing now when disk 2 was picked for
install. but the lat
i have verizon dsl service using macronix nic. free bsd unleashed book,
man pages and install man dont say how to set this up. my provider
gives dns address automatically. linux rpppoe works fine. does bsd
have equivalent? i can boot into grub but get warning about not being
connected to bs

I'm a newbie with freebsd and am concerned that this might be some sort of
problem since my installation of Mysql turned out to be rather
challenging.
