I am having difficulties using user-ppp for connecting my usb-cabled
pocketpc to Freebsd. The chat script indicates that it cannot set speed
to 0. Also, am I supposed to have the ppp.conf setup to host
connections? I am very new to ppp and I am not sure. The howtos don't

no matter what I tried with newfs, couldn't seem to get more to be created, as
if, due to the small size of the device, a 'max ratio' was being hit ... but,

Should this be something that is more prominently documented somewhere? Maybe
in the port itself? azureus has similar problems that are fixed with entries
in libmap.conf, so its not "just a nagios issue" ...

I'm trying to portupgrade xorg-server but it crashes.
Running FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE, and xorg-server-1.4_3,1
Initially I ran portupgrade -R xorg-server, it crashed, then I tried as
explained in UPDATING 20070519
During the upgrade, I get the following error.

You have to make deinstall imap-uw and cclient and build the two ports with
the same options. I did the following:
cd /usr/ports/mail/cclient
make deinstall install clean WITH_SSL_AND_PLAINTEXT=yes
/usr/ports/mail/imap-uw
make deinstall install clean WITH_SSL_AND_PLAINTEXT=yes

transfer rate (2.3 Kb/s) on my floppy drive 1.44 MB 3.5" for read operation,

I've been searching, and not finding, settings to use on the port of a

I am running FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE, and I want to add firewall support to
my kernel. So, I carefully read and followed the instructions in section
9.3 of the FreeBSD Handbook. But when I run "make depend" i get this
error:
