acpi to the kernel config and recompile the kernel. The second option
is to load acpi as a module.
kldload acpi.ko
Alternatively you can put acpi_enable="YES" in /boot/loader.conf to
automate the process. And there is no daemon like apmd for acpi. It is

I can make do with a very
minimal one. But I want a minimal one at least now, I just have to get
this running or I can't sleep.
Try ratpoison if you are more keyboard friendly or try out
enlightenment if you are mouse friendly.
Cheers!!

complains about missing plugin.
I have checked the installed plugins by typing about:plugins. But
there is no flash plugin displayed there either.
Where am I going wrong?

Hello Folks,
Recently I got a HP nc6400 notebook for myself and decided to install
FreeBSD on this. My system boots up fine but I am repeatedly getting
Errors from ACPI. I am repeatedly getting
acpi_tz0: _CRT value is absurd, ignored (256C)
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks
Subhro
Hello Jonathan,
This particular notebooks is shipped with a Intel 945 GM chipset which
is known to have an incompaitbility with Xorg 7.2. However along with
915-resolution
present in the ports, things work perfectly.
Thanks

Hey Subhro thanx for the info. I used Reiserfs in
linux, bcos its reads and writes smaller files faster
like file size of 1-5 Mb, basically for mailing
solution. I dont know where iam wrong.
I have read regarding XFS, in fr
erent copies of OS.
Thanks
