I was wondering, each time i login to my FreeBSD 5.3 system i get a
nice startup tip. Is there a way i can get these tips on slackware
aswel or is this a FreeBSD only thing?

Hello,
Im trying to install apache, php4, mysql and phpmyadmin on my computer.
Firstly I installed the packages for apache and php. Then I did "cd
/usr/ports/databases/phpmyadmin && make install distclean" but that
returns with the following error
bash-3.00# cd /usr/ports/databases/phpmyadmin &&
of wich package should I provide the output of pkg_info? also I
installed everything on this computer today including the ports list
and such so thats up to date

I recently installed the ftp port "wu-ftpd" from /usr/ports/ftp/wu-ftpd.
However I cant find out how to start this, I want to add this to the
autostart by adding a line to my rc.conf but am unsure what line to add.
I tried wu-ftpd_enable="yes" but this didnt work, can someone help me

I have got a problem with FreeBSD and my laptop, I am trying to install
FreeBSD 5.3-RELEASE on it but i get the following errors ata1-slave:
FAILURE - ATAPI_IDENTIFY timed out also it takes alot of time to load
uhub1. I am trying to dualboot it with Windows XP but I dont think thats
a proble
