Hi, David!
Apache 1.3 was originally designed for the Unix platform. Although
it also runs with Windows and others,
Hello, everyone!
I'm a little bit confused because of the enormous number of
terminal types available. I'm mainly working on the console
so cons25 is my default terminal type. Yesterday, I used
putty/ssh to connect to my machine and used elinks on it.
With astonishment I realised that elinks used

Hi all,
I'm planning to buy a new printer, because the results with my Canon S500 are
total crap. I guess a laser printer is the best choice for Unix, and I'm
wondering which one I should buy.
I thought about the HP Laserjet 6L or something in this category.
Any advice?
Thanks!
Martin

Hello, everybody!
I have a rather general question on debugging.
I'm experiencing some problems with some programs on FreeBSD 5.0.
Because I'm quite a unix newbie, I can only write to some mailinglists
to ask if somebody knows what to do.
But I would like to take a few steps to solve my problems

Hi list,
I have a vague feeling that some spammer is abusing my sendmail system.
My installation is FreeBSD-CURRENT. Postmaster received some email
saying, that some kind of mail cannot be delivered due configuration
errors. I looked into the mail queue and found this, what definitely
does not be

Hello, list!
I just read some documentation on ipfw, and also found example
configuration files that can be used as a template.
Now, I'm sitting in front of such a file and want to adapt it for
my needs. But the first problem is already there:
The file uses variables for the inside and outside i

Hi all,
I have some trouble with my SATA-DVDRW. It's not recognised in the boot
process, although I think all kernel settings are correct. A SATA
harddisk works fine. Is there a general issue with SATA-dvd burners?

Just in case you want to use a GUI tool in spite of Serge's remark,
atapicam is what you need.
$ man atapicam
will help you.
