linux_base-fc4 is not at /usr/ports/emulators..

After I had cvsuped FreeBSD-6.1-R amd64 I tried to portupgrade it but
I got the following mssg:
cd: can't cd to /usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade
cd: can't cd to /usr/ports/net/openldap22-client
cd: can't cd to /usr/ports/x11/xorg-manpages
-->Upgrading 'gsfonts-8.
Trying to make a bootable CD, I did the following according to
FreeBSD doc:
#mkisofs -R -no-emul-boot -b /boot/cdboot -o /home/user/0S to
be burned /home/user/cdboot
And I got the message: "uh, oh I can't find the boot image /boot/cdboot"

I own a usb Canon Pixma iP 1600 printer and I use FBSD-7.0-R
amd64. I've choosen LPRng as printer spooler and foomatic-filters,
everything is OK in /etc/printcap but when I type "lpq" I get "printer
not found" as output.

After I had installed FreeBSD-7.0-R and enabled "gdm" in
/etc/rc.conf, the system freezes when I try to enter gnome interface
through GDM. When I type my blank password, the script fails to go on

How to write CDs on amd64? My cd driver is an IDE-ATAPI and needs
scsi emulation. cdrecord says it needs some scsi transport emulation like
"cam"...
$ cdrecord -v dev=cam:1,1,1 speed=4 something.iso
its output claims for scsi specifier transp

Not at amd64... I've tried this option and the output is "cannot open scsi
driver; for possible transport specifiers try cdrecord-dev --help. I've
searched man cdrecord and it tells about some integer just put after "dev"
which is called "cam" as it follows:
$ cdrecord -v dev=cam:1,1,1 spee

I tried to write a new CD by using K3b and it found just its image. It's
not able to find a suitable driver. When I type "cdrecord -scanbus" the
output is the ditto CDrom followed by its adress 1,0,0...what should I do?

Burning CDs is becoming a coastier task to me on FBSD-6.1-R amd64.
I've lost five of them...and the question is how to make bootable CDs by
using cdrecord? I've already read "man cdrecord" but the question is not
clearer.

What should I do in order to run this driver on FreeBSD-6.1-R amd64? I've
heard of upgrading to 6.2 in order to retrieve linux_base-fc4. Just this?

Trying to use LPRng printing spooler, it shows:
$ lpq lpd
Printer ip2200_usb...@localhost (dest localhost@/dev/ulpt0)
Queue : no printable jobs in queue
Printer 'localhost@/dev/ulpt0' cannot open connection
-getconnection: cannot get address for '/dev/ulpt0'

Following LPRng documentation, I removed native lpd (/usr/sbin/lpd)
and I come into a great mistake...
# lpd
"another printer spooler is active possibly 731"
Is there any way to fix the problem, i.e, get /usr/sbin/lpd
without reinstalling the OS?

As I am a new user to rtorrent I would like to know how to set it
up properly. After I had configured .rc.rtorrent when I type
--anyfile.torrent -- I got the answer that rtorrent is unable to open
such a file...
