have a dodgy copy of 5.4.
Did you analyse the MD5 Checksum ??
Is the cdrom drive connected to the IDE channel, or is it SCSI.
Have you tried another cdrom drive?
The other option would be to get the 5.4 BOOT disk, boot from it and
install via the net.
