I am running FBSD 5.2.1 and my /var partition is giving me cannot write
to disk errors, disk is full. I cleared out what I could and got it down to
about 98% but I have some strange findings which I will show below.

I believe the executable for the default install of BIND 8 is
/usr/sbin/named Try ./namedthat should start it up.

I have installed 5.3 and am trying to set up xorg on an Intel motherboard
with a build in 945 chipset graphic card. 4.10 was a breeze to set up for X
but so far I receive what I believe is the following error:

I solved this problem by using the text configuration tool via the
xorgconfig command. I picked the i810 chipset driver and Xorg started up

I wanted to see how the anonymous FTP option worked on FreeBSD so I
enabled it on my "test" box. I haven't been able to find out much info
about locking down to a default directory. Is there a way to lets say block
all directories when logging in and open right up to the /incoming

I have Time Warner Road Runner Boradband service and I spoke to the
technician and found that they allow 3 IP's to be pulled with basic service.
I would like to set up My FreeBSD 4.9 box with two of these IP's. I have
a switch connected to my cable modem which allows me to pull the multiple
I have a 5.2.1 server which I need to add IP's to. When the provider
assigned me the IP's they also said use the netmask 255.255.255.240. I
added the IP's to my rc.conf as you can see below but they do not show up in
my ifconfig.
MY rc.conf:

I should have just left the IP's in untouched. I know that looks suspicious
but they are two different IP's one is lets say 178 and the other 179, they
arent used twice. But good catch.

I am having a problem with Pure-FTPD and FreeBSD 5.1 and was wondering if
this is a common or known problem. I installed version 1.0.18 from ports
and used the /usr/local/sbin/pure-config.pl /usr/local/etc/pure-ftpd.conf
